Ontario Basketball recently secured, gold medal winning coach, Guillermo Vecchio to perform clinics in various regions throughout the province.
You are receiving this email because Vecchio will be in Ottawa on October Sunday, 23 for a special players clinic.
Here are a few of coach Vecchio’s career highlights.
• Head Coach of the Argentinean men’s national team between 1989 and 1996. During this time he won a Pan-American gold medal and a bronze medal at the 1996 Olympic Games.
• In addition to Argentina, Vecchio has also been the Head Coach of the Mexican, Venezuelan and Panamanian national teams and is an expert on team selection.
• Worked with the NBA’s Detroit Pistons as a Latin American scout for five years.
• Has won Coach of the Year, a South American Championship, two cups in the Argentinean League and a World Championship with the William Jones International Cup.
